Idaho Falls Regional Airport is a towered field on the edge of the Snake River Plain, sitting at roughly 4,700 feet above sea level. That elevation makes it an outstanding place to learn: you train with real density altitude, plan true high-performance takeoffs and landings, and work with Class D airspace and instrument approaches from your very first lessons. Within a short cross-country you can be flying the Teton Range, the Caribou and Centennial Mountains, or the high valleys around Yellowstone.
We serve students from across Eastern Idaho and the surrounding region, including Idaho Falls, Ammon, Iona, Shelley, Rigby, Rexburg, Blackfoot, Pocatello, Driggs, Victor, Salmon and Jackson, Wyoming.

Idaho Falls is a science and engineering town. Idaho National Laboratory is one of the region’s largest employers, and many of our students work there or at other local employers while they train. College of Eastern Idaho is minutes from the airport, and BYU-Idaho in Rexburg is about a half hour north.
Idaho Falls Regional Airport is a towered field with a 9,000-foot main runway at roughly 4,740 feet of elevation. Commercial airline traffic shares the airport, so you learn to work with the tower and fly alongside jets from your first lessons. Students come to our Idaho Falls flight school from Ammon, Rexburg, Rigby, Blackfoot, Pocatello and Jackson, Wyoming.
