Schedule your Final Start Up Interview
In this interview, we will assign you a flight instructor and set your start date!
Most students finish in about 3–4 months training part-time, 3 days per week for about 4–5 hours a day. Weather, your availability and checkride scheduling can shorten or lengthen that.
Program pricing is all-inclusive: flight hours, online study materials, piloting materials, and the FAA written test and checkride fees. Prices change with fuel and examiner fees, so contact us or schedule a free tour for current pricing. Loans are available through our financing partners.
The FAA requires at least 40 hours of flight time, including at least 20 hours with an instructor and 10 hours solo. Our Private Pilot Program is built around that 40-hour minimum.
You can train at any of our three campuses: Ogden, Utah at Ogden-Hinckley Airport (KOGD); St. George, Utah at St. George Regional Airport (KSGU); or Idaho Falls, Idaho at Idaho Falls Regional Airport (KIDA).

The FAA lets you solo an airplane at 16 and earn a Private Pilot certificate at 17. You can start lessons before then and log the time toward your license.
