Ogden-Hinckley sits between the Great Salt Lake and the Wasatch Range, which makes it one of the richest training environments in the Mountain West. It is a towered field with instrument approaches, and Salt Lake City’s Class B airspace is only minutes to the south. Students here get early, routine exposure to tower communications, airspace transitions, mountain terrain and long cross-country legs across the Wasatch Front.
We serve students from across Northern Utah and the Wasatch Front, including Ogden, Roy, Clearfield, Layton, Farmington, Bountiful, Salt Lake City, Brigham City, Logan, Park City and Weber, Davis and Box Elder counties.
Every Axiom certificate and rating is available at our Ogden campus:

Ogden is our flagship campus, and it shows in the depth of the program:
Ogden is an aviation town. Hill Air Force Base sits just south of the airport, and the Hill Aerospace Museum in Roy is a favorite stop for our students on days when weather keeps them on the ground. Weber State University is a short drive up the bench, so many students fly with us while they finish a degree.
Training at KOGD means a towered airport with an 8,100-foot main runway at roughly 4,470 feet of elevation. You learn density altitude, mountain winds and tower radio calls from your first lesson. Students commute to our Ogden flight school from across the Wasatch Front, including Layton, Bountiful, Logan and Salt Lake City.
When you are off the schedule, Historic 25th Street, the Ogden River Parkway and Snowbasin make Ogden an easy place to live while you train. Learn more about the area at Visit Ogden.
